What do we do?
The Ron Langhorne Golf Foundation creates access and opportunity for youth to experience and learn the game of golf.
We focus on simple, direct support that removes barriers and introduces young players to structured golf experiences.
Our core efforts include:
Sponsored Youth Spots
Providing fully or partially funded spots in junior golf experiences and clinics for selected youth participants.Youth Golf Exposure Programs
Introducing beginners to the game through structured, fun, and supportive group environments.Community-Based Access Partnerships
Working with local programs and facilities to expand access to golf experiences in Buffalo.Player Development Support
Helping young participants build confidence, coordination, and foundational golf skills.
How It Works
The Ron Langhorne Golf Foundation supports youth participation in golf by providing sponsored access to structured junior golf experiences.
Here is how participation and support work:
1. Youth Programs Are Hosted Through Partnered Experiences
Junior golf experiences and clinics are run through structured programming where youth participants learn basic golf skills in a safe and supportive environment.
2. A Limited Number of Sponsored Spots Are Reserved
Each youth session includes a small number of sponsored spots that are reserved for participants supported through the Foundation.
These spots allow selected youth to participate at no cost.
3. Sponsorship Is Integrated Into Programming
Sponsored participants take part in the same activities as all other youth players, including instruction, games, and group-based learning experiences.
This ensures equal experience and inclusion.
4. Support Directly Enables Participation
Contributions, partnerships, and program support help fund these sponsored spots and expand access to additional youth programming opportunities.
